Cielo’s clinical work is driven by a passion for helping individuals, couples and families to overcome difficult transitions, enjoy healthy relationships and live fulfilling lives. After earning her master’s degree from the University of San Diego, she worked with adults and children in psychiatric settings; supported terminally ill patients and grieving families through Hospice; and collaborated in clinical research with UCSD Family Medicine and Public Health; where she helped young adults overcome traumatic experiences and justice involvement.

Cielo uses well research methods such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy; and Positive Parenting. She incorporates mindfulness and strength-based coaching to improve executive skills, and to decrease trauma reactivity.

Cielo enjoys coaching clients with ADHD or within the Spectrum as they transition to adult life; and helping parents of children with special to navigate challenges such as: understanding their child’s condition and available resources, parenting strategies for different developmental stages, balancing family life; or having an adult space to cope, address their fears and prevent burn out.
