Developmental Therapist in the Petaluma Office

Being part of the team at Family Guidance and Therapy Center for the past year has been so wonderful, and is an important part of my life, as I have grown into my role as a Developmental Therapist working with kids on the neurodivergent spectrum. There are so many reasons why I love what I do. One of the many reasons is the opportunity to build fulfilling relationships with the children that I work with along with the families they are a part of. These relationships are built through my personal values, as I strive to embody the characteristics of kindness, compassion, thoughtful attention, and creativity. With these characteristics in mind, I help foster a safe, supportive environment in which children can fully be themselves, explore their creativity, and grow at their own pace. Currently, I am a Senior at Sonoma State University, majoring in psychology, and will be entering a masters program for Art Therapy in the near future. Being an Art Therapist specializing in working with neurodivergent individuals combines my passion for helping others, learning about the human mind, and engaging in creative expression. Art is one of my favorite hobbies, as well as anything to do with being in nature, as well as journaling, reading, running, and gardening. Most of all, I enjoy and look forward to learning about how to connect with each child as a unique individual, with their own interests, needs, and goals.
