Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Laura Rojas-Colin is a bilingual (Spanish), dual-licensed associate marriage and family therapist (118623), and associate professional clinical counselor (7696). Laura is a San Diego native and a United States Marine Corps Veteran. She attained her bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Counseling and Social Change; she then attained her master’s degree in clinical counseling at Point Loma Nazarene University. As a mental health therapist, Laura specializes in individual, children, and adolescent therapy. Laura has experience working with trauma and PTSD from an intensive outpatient perspective, is culturally humble, and trauma-informed. Laura is currently working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder who also struggle with anxiety and depression.

Laura is committed to cultivating a safe environment in which a person can feel known and heard, so that healing and empowerment may begin allowing the person to transition from living/surviving into thriving in life with restored hope and meaning.

Laura has training and experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, and various modalities of Mindfulness.
