Good Dog Autism Companion

Perci is a golden retriever who enjoys playing fetch, swimming and meeting new friends. Perci was trained through Good Dog Autism Companions as an autism service dog. Perci grew up in Florida with his trainer mom Sam for almost two years before uniting with his new family and handler Brian in San Diego. Perci will turn 3 years old on July 31, 2017 and has been a part of the Family Guidance and Therapy team for almost a year. Perci travels with Brian to the office and on school visits, to client’s homes and attends community events. Be sure to look for Perci at this year’s Love & Autism Conference!

Perci provides a calming presence while helping clients work toward social, communication, and companionship goals. Perci allows people to build trust with animals at their own pace with his gentle and slow approach. Be sure to stop in and say “hi,” to Perci and he might show you how he cleans up all his toys with his “mess” command.
