Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

My passion is for children, families, and couples. I have spent 8 years working with children and their families by providing support for them in difficult times through helping parents build a healthier home, community, and school environment in which their child can be successful. Most of my practice has been with “at-risk” youth, ages 4 to 20, providing care so that they would either continue a positive transition back into their homes from dangerous or achieve and maintain a constructive placement in their current home. At the same time, I have worked extensively with their parents to support them in their own self-care and getting their needs met as well. While most of my work has been with more intensive diagnosis, including substance use disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders, oppositional and conduct disorders, attention deficits, and psychosis, I also understand the need to work on management of life stress.

As my instructor informed me in grad school, it is not role of the therapist to make the journey for their clients, but to guide them to the answers that already lie within themselves. This is what I desire most in working in this field. It is a collaborative work.

I welcome the opportunity to meet and provide support for you and your family in the future and work together toward a healthier you.
