Meet Douglas
I am a Licensed and Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping others traverse the obstacles and challenges in life. I believe that in developing insight and effective coping mechanisms, individuals and families can gain empowerment and face the various challenges in life with confidence and strength.
I have worked with individuals, families and couples as well as high needs populations such as homeless individuals, veterans, at risk youth and LGBT communities. My primary treatment approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and client centered therapy. I am also experienced in crisis intervention, suicide prevention and motivational interviewing.
My overall approach is to provide a safe and secure space to explore issues and feelings without judgment. I truly believe this is vital in helping clients develop the strengths and skills to live a life that is successful in the eyes of that client. I look forward to working in partnership with all of my clients to help them develop emotionally, mentally, and in any other aspect of life they would like to work on.
Live purposefully. Love fully. Grow with us.
