Help for LGBTQ+
Some of us within the LGBTQ+ community find ourselves struggling with a sense of not belonging inside traditional societal constructs or binary gender identities. The feeling of disconnection or detachment from family, friends or from ourselves can cause serious mental health concerns including anxiety, depression and addiction. We can help if you are someone struggling with others or your own acceptance issues. At FGTC, we understand and are mindful that many of the difficulties that come forward in therapy are not simply LGBTQ+ issues, but shared human experiences.
Whatever your struggle, or wherever you are in your journey, we are here for you.
We Can Help
The Family Guidance & Therapy Center of Southern California is committed to helping those in the LGBTQ+ community with their personal growth. Whether you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or questioning, we invite you to an environment where we do not assume heteronormative constructs. We work with you to create a safe space.
We treat our clients as individuals first, while considering your identity or orientation, rather than treating you as an identity, orientation or label first. We provide a secure environment where individuals and couples feel comfortable to speak openly about their relationships in a loving, collaborative, solution focused way, which is an essential part in finding the life you are truly meant to live. Our environment is non-judgmental, consensual, and pronoun sensitive. We know you deserve the very best and personalized treatment where you are fully understood.
