Family Marriage & Therapy Counselor /AMFT

I am an family marriage & therapy counselor #118240, who has experience working with both youth and adults.  I have worked in intensive inpatient and residential facilities as well as community-based settings such a crisis home, foster group home and developmental daycare. I have training and experience in multiple therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy(SF), family therapy, and group therapy.  I received my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Point Loma University graduate school /PLNU, a CACREP accredited program.

I am a fan of eclectic approach of therapy using multiple interventions or modalities when appropriate with a client whether that is challenging him/her/them with constructive counseling to holding a safe non- harsh judgmental space. To just learning and remaining curious by asking open-ended questions and striving to develop a supportive relationship with the client.  I am currently working with adolescents couples, clients who have multiple diagnosis, most often including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and their families.  I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with each and every person I work with.
