Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Meg is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in work with individuals, children, and families. Meg completed her Master's degree at Alliant International University. She holds another position at Center for Hope and Strength at the Family Justice Center, where she works with adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Prior to the Family Guidance and Therapy Center, she worked with elementary school students in City Heights through an art and play therapy program called Project IMPACT. She also worked with elementary and middle school students and their families through YMCA TIDES and adults, couples, teens, children and families through the YMCA Counseling Services program.

As a clinician, Meg believes in Carl Rogers' unconditional positive regard as the single greatest element in welcoming clients into therapy. She integrates elements of Bowen Family Systems, especially the concept of differentiation, in addition to elements of Attachment Theory and Structural Family Therapy in her use of Relationship Development Intervention (RDI).
