Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Samantha is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Childhood and adolescence can be a bumpy ride with many twists and turns and ups and downs. Sam’s passion is helping those she works with navigate these challenges and find joy in the journey. By demonstrating compassion, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, Sam is easily able to develop therapeutic rapport and establish a safe space where her clients feel free to be themselves.
Sam received both her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She has training and experience in a multitude of therapeutic modalities and interventions including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution – Focused Therapy, career counseling, family therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. Sam also has extensive experience working with children and individuals with autism and special needs in a variety of settings including in school and at home. She particularly enjoys utilizing art and play during her sessions to foster creativity and growth throughout the healing process.
During her free time Sam enjoys hiking, reading, baking, spending time with family and friends, and being ordered about by her two cats, Bella and Perseus. Sam looks forward to working together with you and helping you grow and become your best self!
